Handgun Safety

Highlands Keep, LLC offers three Handgun Safety Courses.  Each class lasts approximately four hours and is taught by N.R.A Certified Instructors.  The courses are introductory courses best suited for first time gun owners and/or those who desire to pursue a State concealed carry permit.  Each class is limited to 10 students per instructor in order to maximize personalized attention.  Individual private lessons may be negotiated separately.

Course #1 is a classroom only course and will be conducted at Highlands Keep LLC or at an appropriate classroom environment provided by the customer.  The course covers:

• Cycle of Operation
• Functioning

• Concealed Carry
• Drawing your pistol
• Cover
• Concealment
• Use of Deadly Force
• Low Light Shooting
• Alternatives to deploying pistol

Ammunition Requirements: 100 Rounds

The cost of this course is $125.00

The course prices include targets, target backer, range time, course outline materials and certificate of attendance.  The following is the MINIMUM required equipment list:

• Handgun (Contact us for make & model approval during course registration)
• Holster
• Magazine Pouch holding at least two (2) magazines
• Ammunition
• Hearing & eye protection
• Camelbak™ or other canteen system
• Weather appropriate clothing & boots
