Highlands Keep LLC offers four (4) Land Navigation Training Courses; Basic Land Navigation, Night Land Navigation, Advanced Land Navigation, and Mounted Land Navigation. These are a combination of computer based training (to be completed prior to arriving at Highlands Keep), class room training, and field training. The Basic Course is a requirement for the Night Course and both the Basic and Night Courses are pre-requisites for the Advanced and Mounted Courses. The Basic and Night Courses are also pre-requisites for the SF Experience, Patrolling Course and the Small Unit Leadership Evaluation II Course.

Mounted Land Navigation.  This is a one day course at Highlands Keep, conducted in two four hour sessions – one four hour afternoon session, followed by a four hour night/low light session.  It is a prerequisite for Highlands Keep Tactical Convoy Training. Course Minimum is 4 Participants.

The MINIMUM required equipment list is:

• Small Backpack
• Notebook & Pencil
• Flashlight
• Whistle (may be purchased at Highlands Keep)
• Signaling Mirror (may be purchased at Highlands Keep)
• Cyalume Stick (may be purchased at Highlands Keep)
• Camelbak™ or other canteen system
• Weather appropriate clothing & boots
