Night Land Navigation

Highlands Keep LLC offers four (4) Land Navigation Training Courses; Basic Land Navigation, Night Land Navigation, Advanced Land Navigation, and Mounted Land Navigation. These are a combination of computer based training (to be completed prior to arriving at Highlands Keep), class room training, and field training. The Basic Course is a requirement for the Night Course and both the Basic and Night Courses are pre-requisites for the Advanced and Mounted Courses. The Basic and Night Courses are also pre-requisites for the SF Experience, Patrolling Course and the Small Unit Leadership Evaluation II Course.

Night Land Navigation.  This is a one day course at Highlands Keep conducted entirely in the field.  If desired, students completing the Basic Land Navigation Course can transition into Night Land Navigation on the afternoon and evening of day two (2) of the Basic Course. Course Minimum is 8 Participants.

The MINIMUM required equipment list is:

• Small Backpack
• Notebook & Pencil
• Flashlight
• Whistle (may be purchased at Highlands Keep)
• Signaling Mirror (may be purchased at Highlands Keep)
• Cyalume Stick (may be purchased at Highlands Keep)
